The Makra Pro Lady GTX is ideal for demanding alpine tours with glacier crossings and also easier summer high-alpine tours and rock routes. The lightweight, sturdy all-rounder has a lightweight, waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and a long-lasting durable Perwanger leather upper. For the lightweight, yet particularly stable midsole, we use a combination of PU, TPU and EVA. PU at the heel for perfect cushioning – an integrated TPU crampon welt for secure attachment – and EVA at the forefoot for greater precision. The Vibram® Makra outsole ensures excellent grip. Together they make a dream team. The ‘Hanwag 2 Zone Lock’ with mechanical lace lock improves the fit at the heel. Unlike conventional clamping lace hooks, the mechanical lace lock remains fixed in place and cannot slip unless manually adjusted. The optimised ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family – it runs through textile loops right down into the toe area. This ensures a secure fit around the front of the foot, and good overall stability for a mid-cut model. And the Alpine Wide Last ensures more room at the forefoot for greater comfort, without sacrificing precision and climbing performance.
